My family and I visited the Children's Illustrated Art Museum a few weeks ago and had a great experience!
My 2 year old son loved the huge train (made and donated by Home Depot) and my 6 year old daughter loved playing with the trains, reading the books, and just running around.
We all had a lot of fun, plus lots of great pictures were taken!
There was so much to do for everyone that we could have spent all day! The history and interaction with the history of trains was excellent and interesting to myself and my husband (the kids were too distracted by the toys!!). The kids couldn't get enough of the Thomas the Train section, the books, the blocks, the coloring stations, toys, tables, everything! Jakey cried his heart out as we left to go home, he didn't want to leave the trains. Ava couldn't wait to dig into the coloring books and take pictures in her conductors hat.
The Museum is really a compilation of multiple activities from playing, reading, history lessons for the theme of the quarter, as well as art, coloring stations, classes, and meetings. Themes will be changed quarterly, as well as huge holiday celebrations so don't miss out!!
They are located in the Chesterfield Mall on the 2nd floor next to Macy's. Tell Jeannie Little Black Book sent you!
